Items not being taken

Please no used toiletries.  Yes, I know this is disgusting and shouldn't have to be stated but we have had the displeasure of people placing used toilet tissues, feminine products and soiled diapers in their recycling.  Whenever we get something like this, everything in the recycling container must be thrown away and container has to be sanitized.

Which areas are served?

Right now the City of Asotin, Clarkston Heights, West Clarkston (outside city limits), South Clarkston (outside city limits).
Currently there is no recycling within Clarkston city limits.

Excess Recycling?

There is no limits to the amount we pick up.  We know that sometimes in our lives we have an excess amount of recycling, such as buying new furniture, birthdays, or holidays.  This cannot be avoided but what can be avoided is the hassle of paying for extra waste bags at the curb.  This is why if you exceed our bins, bag it, box it or can the excess item so that it may be picked up.  If, for some reason there is more than you can deal with (ie, appliances, scrap metal, or large amounts of cardboard from moving) call us for a Saturday pickup.  Prices for Saturday pickups are by donation as they are first come, first serve and just our way of being neighborly.
